Distribution Channels
From IndieGuide
Welcome to the Distribution Channels. Below you'll find a list of all the known sites that distribute, or affiliate, games online. There are a handful of types of sites that distribute games, most falling into one of the categories below:
Portal: Portals, generally in return for a higher percentage of the profits, put your game in front of a large audience. Many portals will also offer different services on top of getting your game in front of thousands of people, with each portal's services being slightly different.
Affiliates: A site, sometimes structured similarly to a Portal, acting as a sort of middle man normally in exchange for a cut of the sale. The cute tends to be lower than a Portals, but their audience is very often smaller as well. These sites tend to use one of the major E-Commerce Service to affiliate games.
Developers: Developers who look to not only affiliate games similar to their own to sell to their fan base, but to have their games affiliated by others as well. Developer listings will show you what games they have to be affiliated, what genres they're interested in affiliating and what E-Commerce Service they use(If that is followed by "See Link", the link will go directly to the Developer's page with more info).
How to Affiliate a game: Signing up and affiliating games is really quite easy. Just head over to the E-Commerce Service they are using, sign up, and then click on their Product list. But how to find the games on the list? You'll find after the listing of what service each Developer uses either "See Link", meaning they have further instructions of their own for you, or the name of their vendor at that service(Such as "Positech Computing Ltd"). Just search for the vendor name and there you have it - all their products for you to affiliate.
You can find a secondary list of Affiliable games here.
